On a site I often visit the guy called Tatsuya wrote that he got his hands on a press release note Nintendo will give out on Monday. Tatsuya's wife works at Nintendo's PR department. At least he told me that in a past mail. He posted a copy of the note on his blog. Since it doesn't allow direct linking I rehosted it on imageshack. It says that the Nintendo Revolution (no name change after all?) will be released worldwide in 2006. Japan comes on Sep 18th, the US follow on Oct 10th and at last again comes Europe on Oct 22nd. :D :o The note also says that Japan will get 6 million units in fiscal year 2006 (which means until March 2007). The US and Europe get 4 million each, which makes up a whopping 14 million units shipped until March 2007. :o But the coolest thing! They say the price is 19.800 Yen. :D That could mean a 199$ price tag. :o  If that price is true I might even get it on release day from Japan. No need to wait for a price drop. 8) I just hope this isn't just a hoax again. We'll know on Monday, because that's on when the note is dated.

If it's true... SWEET! 4 million units doesn't sound like very much though..... (in the grand sceme of things).
I hope my store gets them in (they didn't get 360's on release date) because if they do I'm pretty sure I can get one (considering they love me because I'm the only one who can even get close to 57 boxes per hour done). http://www.myspace.com/jennikisaI need friends.... I had to nix Tom. He wasn't really my friend. His smile "mocked" me.

4 million for the US isn't that bad if you consider Sony wants to ship 6 million units worldwide. 4 million from October to March would mean around 650.000 units per month. That's quite much. :D And for Europe, too. :D :D

As I can see, my attempt of an April Fool's joke failed miserably here. Only Jenni fell for it. She's now my favourite forum member. :P

Haha don't feel bad manuel :P , I don't believe anyone (including Nintendo or Sony) until the console is actually released to the public. Thats why I stay away from these speculation threads and news.

I'm naive, I can't help it.
But at least I made your day! (BTW, I usually don't look this bad.... I'm just too lazy to make myself up) :P http://www.myspace.com/jennikisaI need friends.... I had to nix Tom. He wasn't really my friend. His smile "mocked" me.

That's probably the right thing to do. Don't even look on any site during April 1st. I'm not that much disappointed, just a bit. I thought at least 2 or 3 people may fall for it. I mean, I spent a whole 10 minutes to forge a Nintendo press note. I don't want to brag, but I think it's quite realistic, because I copied sentences and their style from older notes that were actually released on Nintendo Japan's homepage. I should have posted this on the ign forums probably. More people means a higher probability that somebody actually falls for it. I still do believe thoughthat the Revolution or whatever name it will be, will sell for around 20.000 Yen. As the Euro is strong these days I'm thinking about importing it on release day... "Jenni" wrote:(This is my semi-sad face)

Not everyone has Firefox. Many still use Internet Destroyer.

I could imagine even for Inet destroyer there should be ad blockers. Just try google. Or install Firefox. Takes 2 minutes or so.
