So I got my Electronic Gaming Monthly magazine and saw this article about the "igame". I wanted more info so I googled it. And found this...

http://www.joystiq.com/2006/03/09/apples-igame-is-totally-fake/

Oh well.

Some joke only...
I think they coulnd't get a foot.. not a single toe in the handheld gaming market.

They make enough money with the ipod, no need really to enter new markets. I could imagine an ipod on which you can play simple games, like on cell phones. Just as a little gimmick.

EGM's April Fool's jokes are great. They promoted a fake Lord of the Rings racing game a few years back.

Lord of the Rings Racing?
That's a nice idea there.
Race on the back of a White Stallion against Orcs?
As a fun racer I could really imagine such a title...

They made a nicely done screenshot of Gandalf power steering through the mines of Moria in a rickety go-cart version of the wagon he rode in on in the first movie.

As ridiculous as it sounds, they made it look damn convincing. A helluva lotta people fell for it.

I just got my new EG magazine and they sure had a lot of letters from prisoners..... shit, if they get to sit and get to play video games all day is that really punishment??? Free rent, meals, and video games... too bad I'm too goody goody to commit a real crime.

Many prisoners lead a better life than lots of us could imagine.
I heard that prisoners here in Germany have a right to get a personal TV set :?: :!:
And they can have video games?

That's no punishment at all!

It would be if they only got the most boring and worst pieces of crap there are, but that's not the case I fear...

I don't even know why they call it "hard time". Personal TV's???? Being a prisoner sure must be rough!

Well, there's the whole "unpleasant personal relations" thing.

Well my friend who's a correctional officer for the prison said that if you were to take away the TV's from the inmates that would just give them more time to think of how to escape or make weapons.

So although it may seem unfair to us outside of jail, its just a way to keep them occupied and not hurting the guards or making any other riots.

they should offer some game testing jobs for these prisoners, I'am sure they got plenty of time to find bugs...
