I think the general guess is that it'll launch at $199 US, the same as every other Nintendo console in history.

$159 US, that's crazy cheap. it'd be incredible if it were launched that low, but I'm not counting on it.

Yeah, better not count on it. Maybe (pretty sure) it was just a mistake.
But I'm sure the price will quickly drop to that mark, as Nintendo always does that.

I'm assuming Nintendo will sell it cheaper than the other two consoles. They're probably hoping that if it's cheaper, it will sell more, hence they'll make more money.
I'm guessing it will cost $200-250, but the cheaper the better :wink:

It isn't cheaper because they want more money. Satoru Iwata said he wants the Wii to appeal to casual gamers as well as the hardcore, meaning the casual people have to be able to afford it. It is not a matter of greed, like with other companies. *cough* Microsoft *Cough*
