3 days before my mom found 2 ducklings on the meadow befor eour house. Supposedly they lost their mother duck, now we (i.e. mainly my wife and me) are taking care of them. My mom calls us "duck mom" and "duck dad" already. :? They were the main reason why I wasn't around the files for a few days. :) They eat oatmeal, watermelon and flies. :)

^^EEYOUCH!!! Cute ducks & rabbit. I had a Dwarf rabbit a few years back, and he could not stop chewing up things...books, wallpaper, the wood of the wall itself, etc. Fortunately for him, he was smart enough to stay away from wires.

I've always given baby birds little pieces of ground beef rolled between my fingers. Plenty of protein and fat which growing babies need. :)

Over the course of the past month Roll and I have adopted 4 "children" of our own. Possibly more to come, considering the conditions at the Humane Society. I will post photos a little later.

Yeah, photos of cute animals are always good. I'll also try to shoot more. This is a photo of our dog after she saw the ducklings. She was so excited and jumping around like she never did before. And here's my wife feeding the ducklings with tweezers. Now they already eat by themselves. :o

Well, last night our collection of "children" more than doubled. Squishy pink babies! We adopted a mother and four baby rats from the local rescue/humane society, but she was already pregnant again because they didn't have the sense to know she was a female. (she was in the same cage as the males) So, the mother, 4 babies, the new 14 babies that were born last night, and the 4 rats we had before makes for a whopping 23 fuzzy little rats. (except for the 14 pictured in the photo, they're clearly not fuzzy ) Here are some photos of the others: Mama and her four older babies. Splinter (from TMNT) is on the bottom, Arthur (Ghosts 'n Goblins) is climbing over him (Arthur is on my shoulder as I type) Samus (Metroid), and the other baby, Rhinoa (from FFVIII) Another of the light-coloured baby Arthur's belly spots. Another of Samus.

*Everyone start placing bets* I'll have to get you an updated photo that shows just how big he is... But for now, just picture a 2 year old, very well-fed rat. Your crawfish is toast.

Great names for the rats! With a video game theme, you'll never be stumped as to what to name your pets. Cute Yorkie, Manuel. It's nice to know someone else on the forum owns a smaller dog!

I think you're a little overconfident ;) "ToddVania" wrote:Great names for the rats! With a video game theme, you'll never be stumped as to what to name your pets. Any suggestions for a female? One of the fuzzy babies is still unnamed.

Man, those rats are cute. And Splinter somehow really looks like Splinter... as far as my memory doesn't deceive me here...
