I'm a major fan of the Tomb Raider games and have finished them all (except for Tomb Raider Gold for PC; can't seem to find a copy, and the horrible disaster called Dark Angel), and after my miserable experience with Dark Angel, I've been reading good things about the new Legend. Has anyone had any experience with this game yet, and is it worth getting? It'll probably be the last PS2 one I'll get, so I hope it's a good one. Dark Angel was rendered thoroughly unplayble when I was forced to switch to the guy. Can't even remember his name, he was so lame. **BRAIN-FART EDIT** Those "Dark Angel" titles should be "Angel Of Darkness," Todd Tard.

I've only played the xbox 360 version briefly, but it's a pretty good game. If you're not too sure, you should rent it first to try it out. If game shops in the USA are like ones here, you can take a (console) game back if you don't like it, so you could do that.

I'm not playing it sheerly out of principle. Oh, what? Tomb Raider got back to its roots by taking major cues from Prince of Persia?! Goodie! EDIT Wrong type of "que".

There's hope for that one... Tomb Raider's Game Boy Color incarnation was stellar (meanwhile its console games sucked worse than ever before).

Thank you for the thoughts. I tend to forget the easiest method to test a game first: rent the damn thing. I'm just used to buying DVD's that renting is forgotten! ~Nice Venom theme, Sir Airfiggy! :)

Did you get it? If so, what's the verdict. I'm thinking of getting it tomorrow as it's cheap second hand, but the fact that there's a lot of second hand copies doesn't inspire me much.....

No, I haven't gotten it yet, I've been severely financially strained this month, but come the first of July or soon after, I'll be renting it. That, and the Street Fighter Alpha Anthology, to see if I want to lay down the serious cash and buy them permanently.

Thanks for the link! Another video game site to go into the Favorites menu. Sounds like Lara's definitely back. I was so disillusioned after the Angel Of Darkness, and to me, "The Last Revelation" wasn't so great, either, but Chronicles made up for it. I love that last area in Chronicles where she does the stealth bit in the black get-up. Schmexy.

A- for the xbox 360 version, that's pretty good. A nifty site too. But, A- for Ridge Racer 6, and a mere B for Project Gotham 3???

I vehemently disagree with the guy on several points (his venomous hatred for Legend of Dragoon being one), but he's a thorough, well-stated reviewer.

I am still checking the video store weekly, and they still don't have copies in. I think I'm just going to wind up buying it next month. By that time it should be a fair price anyway. This video store likes to keep "new title" prices for close to 6 months.
