I can't wait as soon as I save up some money from a Job I am getting I am moving out of this hell hole of place and moving back to Trenton buy my own Place and live on my own, I will still be on the forums from time to time. I am want to be gone by the time I am 17. I feel that I am old enough to make this decison. And I will be finishing school either at ST.Pauls there in Trenton or work for a bit to have money to pay rent and then go to Night School. Either way I will make it out alright. I just won't have a Couch or anything sweet like that at first due to the fact it all costs money! I plan on finding the Apartment near either Wal-Mart which as an EBgames by it, or maybe near my old place or maybe downtown. I bet I can find a place there pretty cheap! I want to make a at least $3,000 so I can pay for atleast a few months of rent. I might looking into getting a Job at the Sears warehouse down in that area. I dunno if they still have that place but it is worth a shot to go check.

Bad idea. Bad, bad idea. You should have a lot of money in the bank, as well as a secure job that you actually have, a car, and a stable relationship at home before you try to get your own place. You can not know what will or won't go wrong in the future. Everywhere, I see idiot kids (my own age; that wasn't meant as a condescending slur to you) making irreversible decisions with no safety net whatsoever, and it blows up in their faces. I know five people who's lives are now ruined due partly to the fact they made these decisions, but mainly because unforseen events screwed them over. I know you want to get the hell out of there, but it can wait. It's just not worth it to risk a decent life in exchange for getting out of a few years of hell.

Yeah i'd wait to you have a decent paying job, working 5-6 days a week, and know for certain you will be able to pay rent, car insurance, etc. every month.

I told you once, and I'll tell you again, finish high school. You're not getting ANY job without that useless piece of paper that states you're as smart as every other dunce that can't do simple math, or spell their own name. I made the mistake of quitting, and now I have to slave my ass off for next to no money just to pay the bills (which are always late, now that Roll's student loan isn't there as backup) Factory work isn't fun. You want an example, come stay at my place for a while in the summer. TRY to find a job. Not gonna happen, unless you go through a temp agency (as I am now). there's no security in being a temp, one day you might have work, the next month they may have nothing for you. As for the car thing, they are EXPENSIVE! especially for teenage males. mostly in the insurance area, but the way gas rockets up in price in the summers is going to hurt too. I bike everywhere, 10 KM a day just to get to work and back. I don't know what I'm going to do in the winter, but I damn sure can't afford a car (not that it would help, my license is expired anyway :P). If you need to get away, come over to my place for a month in the summer, as we discussed earlier. Just don't go making any decisions you can't handle.

I agree with everyone else. I didn't finish high school either, and reget it to this day (even though I eventually went back and got my GED). The job market is exceedingly fierce nowadays. It's just not that easy.
It is nice to see you have one part of your plan right--ALWAYS make sure you have that rent money before ANYTHING else. If you don't have a roof over your head, then everything else is useless. I've been homeless before--you don't want to go through that.

Dude, why don't you go to college/university? A degree would result in a better job with more money.
And there's the drinking/smoking/parties/women etc whilst your at college/uni. It'll also provide you with experience of looking after yourself. Just don't forget to do your work whilst you're there, too. :wink:

I'd also advise you to try to go to university. Your chances will broaden very much. E.g. you could try to study abroad in Japan for a year in some program like I did: > http://www.isc.kyushu-u.ac.jp/jtw/Just get good education. It's the best you can do.

It's hard out there on one's own. So many unexpected things happen (I had a small cushion in my checking account and now it's gone because I had to spend $100 on gas to get to a funeral, get funeral attire = no money now). Besides, you don't want to burn bridges with your family by running off like that (regardless of the senseless crap they put you through). They might prove useful in the future.
Sometimes family is all a person has in the end.
Get your diploma. My sister ended up with a GED diploma and regretted it to this day.
