I would like to know everyone's opinion about this dictator, who established a totalitarian regime in 1959. I hate him, he has destroyed Cuba. If you go to Cuba as tourists, then Cuba is a paradise. But the real Cuba is a disgrace, I went to Cuba last year, so I know what I'm talking about. By the way, there are a lot of Canadian hotels in Cuba. You already know my opinion, so I wanna know yours. Support the Dragon Quest series!Werewolf) Dragon Quest IX!

My opinion is that Bush will probably "liberate" them soon enough anyway, I'm sure they have something in Cuba that he wants... But to be honest, my (selfish) opinion is that I don't live there, so I can't comment on it. You were there for a week (?) I don't think you had a chance to see what everyday life was like either. Seems to me that Cuba is one of the more functional communist countries.

I was there for 2 weeks, and met a lot of people. They told me that they wish to live in a democratic Cuba. They are tired of the communism, and Castro's stupidity. Communism doesn't work, it ruins everybody's life. As you can see, Canadian flag, Expos T-Shirt(former baseball team from Montreal), and finally Toronto. I guess Canadians don't want to see a democratic Cuba because all their businesses may go down the drain. Support the Dragon Quest series!Werewolf) Dragon Quest IX!

Sadly enough, this is probably hitting the nail on the head. I find it amusing that the majority of the US is sending Bushs' approval rating down the drain, and yet the majority voted for him...I think it's fear more than anything else that led to it. Everyone was afraid that another candidate would not be able to handle the mess in Iraq. I'm just glad he can't run again. But if one of his "buddies" wins the next election, I'm considering strongly the option of "becoming a Canadian."

See, topics like this don't work on an NES forum, something that I found out not too long ago. Then again, this isn't really an NES forum anymore, no? As for the whole "Canadians don't want a democratic Cuba"... man, you're dense. And quit changing your name. And talk more about gaming (not just DWVIII [Dragon Warrior VIII]. I log in for once, and here's what I see Off-Topic forum == 14 topics posted on All other forums combined == 11 topics posted on I'm sure glad this is NES Files. I mean, does an ON-TOPIC board have to be made or something???? These are some of the reasons why I pretty much have abandoned this place. Have fun talking nonsense to each other. http://robertlbryant.com

First, it is Off-Topic. Definition: This is a forum for talking about anything users want to talk about that doesn't fit elsewhere. Right? Second, man you are a dictator. You want people to do what you want. I'm gonna change my name everytime I wish, Derrek gave us that option. You can't force people to do what you want. Dragon Quest/Warrior is my favorite series, so I'm gonna keep talking about it. Could you talk more about gaming (not just Karnov, Ninja Gaiden)? Third, President Bush got his own thread. Why can't I start a thread to talk about the oldest dictator in the world? We were having a nice debate, and now you ruined it. Edit: I haven't said I hate Canada. In fact, my girlfriend is Canadian :P, and I want to go to Canada in the future. Support the Dragon Quest series!Werewolf) Dragon Quest IX!

As soon as I'm done arguing with you, I'm out of here. Quote:Second, man you are a dictator. You want people to do what you want. How am I a dictator?!? I'm not a mod, admin, or anything. Pay attention. Quote:Derrek gave us that option. Why don't you ask him how much he cares about this forum, hm? If it wasn't for the mods this place would've been spam city last year, and I'm sure it would still be to this day. Oh, and for the record, why don't you look at my past posts? I'm sure you'll see me talking about TONS of games other than Karnov and Ninja GaiDen... As a matter of fact, you probably won't find any posts of me getting shitty with anyone except in the last month or two (chewbaca4 incident excluded). You know why? Well, if you can't figure it out, then you're probably part of the problem. 2 + 2 = 4. http://robertlbryant.com

I don't really know much about Cuba. I know it's an island near Florida, but that's it. : I'm also smart enough to know that if people are risking their lives to float across the ocean to get to the US, it must really suck to live there. (I never hear about people risking lives from the Bahamas or Jamaica).
Look at it this way, he's 79 years old, he has to die eventually (and soon). http://www.myspace.com/jennikisaI need friends.... I had to nix Tom. He wasn't really my friend. His smile "mocked" me.

Hence, you can't say Communism doesn't work, only Fidel's version of it "doesn't work" (your words, not mine) Also, the Cuba before Fidel took over can't have been any good, as if it were, the revolution would have never happened in the first place. The previous leader, Batista, had an essentially totalitarian regime, he was basically the US governments bitch. The prisons were full of political opponents, he owned a solid gold telephone, and then he fled the country with most of its money. Also, his own troops despised him so much, they hardly put up a fight with the revolutionaries. Maybe it's not the best country in the world, but can you really say it was any better before? Anyway, I don't live there, so I don't really care. Anyway, he's going to die soon.

"Kendry" wrote:Second, man you are a dictator. You want people to do what you want. It's getting REALLY old when you keep claiming that the NES files is a dictatorship as if it's a bad thing... NEWSFLASH! it IS a dictatorship. One person (or a small group) runs the place. For the most part we try to make changes in the best interest of the forum. because you don't agree with something doesn't mean you have to bawl your eyes out and claim it's a dictatorship, that's just stating the obvious. "Kendry" wrote:I'm gonna change my name everytime I wish, Derrek gave us that option. Derek may have given that option, but it's becomming a hassle. I've had several requests to disable it, and now thanks to you being so cocky about it, I think I will. Enjoy. "Kendry" wrote:You can't force people to do what you want. Yes, as an admin, Roth could indeed have forced anyone here to do what he wants. but in the interest of keeping users, he didn't. I think you have a real problem with authority. Like it or not, the mods/admins run the place. be mature about your opinions, or leave.
