Well after finally learning how this game accuatlly works (not the poker aspect) I decided to start playing.

For those who don't know how the game is played, you choose 1 out of 3 girls to play poker against, Full House Francine, Pok-er Penny, Double Dealing Debbie. Besides the crappy music and the very slow way the poker playing happens and the crappy 8-bit nudity this game is not that fun lol. You start with $500 and your goal is to reach $5000 against each girl. At every $1000 you win you'll see a "cut scene". Needless to say I had it playing in the back ground while chatting with friends, otherwise I'd be bored long before I reached a $5000 win.

Anyways over the next three days I'm going to beat each of the girls. I've got screenshots of the last 4 cut scenes for Debbie. If someone has a NES webpage and wants the screen shots let me know and I'll send them but I'm not going to post them here.

Oh, ayuh! And I already beat him to it. I've got screenshots o' all the ladies. Someone had Pok-er Penny in their sig image for awhile as a moving GIF, that was pretty cool.
I like the way the women stick their tongues out when they lose. Aww, poor losers.

Yeah, Peek a Boo Poker is relentlessly dull. At least Bubble Bath Babes had decent gameplay...

You said it. Bubble Bath Babes is one I keep coming back to again and again, not just for the 8-bit porn, but mostly the addictive game play. That game is very challenging; I've only managed to make it to the 2nd lady so far. Those bubbles get extremely fast!

Once again another post by OGTL that doesnt contribute to the converstation and is totally childish. And he does it to rank his post count up
And "O RLY" isnt funny its a stupid little fad and needs to die.

What the hell is happening to the forums.

The joke of "O RLY?" is that it is way overused. Note the snake/owl combo in another thread.

And as for "what the hell is happening to the forums" bit, we're either in a slump, or in official decline. If everyone makes an effort and dedicates themselves to improving problems with their own posts, we'll pull out. If everyone gets apathetic, easily offended, and/or start making inflammatory comments, the forums will eventually die out.

Furthermore, while you may see some of OGTL's posts as childish, he has consistently added genuine input and support to the forums throughout his posting, something that I haven't. Now please, can this potential flame war be squelched? As in, no back-and-forth responses between NG and OGTL?

Yeah, it did. I agree with Uber Newb, and it was well put.
To get back on topic, the problem with these gambling games is, there's no payoff. And ultimately, the computer is going to decide whether you win or lose. I feel the same way about poker machines in the bars. This game has merit because of the ladies, though.
Now, Casino Kid--that one has some thought behind it; they turned the gambling into an actual quest. I've got the 2nd one, too, and have yet to play it.

Casino Kid was awesome. I was inspired by Daynum to play it, and was most certainly not let down. Most other chance NES games are really damn cheap. I'm looking at you, Wagyanland. Dirtyfilthy misleading cheater.

Well, I was preparing to put things in perspective, but it seems Newb took care of that. Thanks.

I don't feel we're in decline though. On the contrary, I feel we're on the way back up from the Off-Topic hell that was pretty much all of the traffic here for the past year. Most posts have been on-topic, and generally pretty good quality. We need to generate some more solid, on-topic posters, but they'll come in time. On the whole, I'm quite pleased with the way things have been going during this past month or so.

So my subliminal sig has been working then

Peek a Boo Poker is my favourite of the 3 Panesian games. I do like a bit of poker mixed with pixelated ladies taking their clothes off.

Three Panesian games??!?!
I know about BB Babes, this one, and the cleaned-up version of BB Babes called Mermaids Of Atlantis, but I think that was a different company that did the clean version?
If I'm right, what's the third game?

Which is probably the most popular of the 3, and my personal favourite.

Heh. Since the very title made my eyebrows shoot up, I'm sure it'll be worth the download. Thanks.

Ah, well. I'm going NES-ROM nuts, and any recommedations are taken! I even got the "Dr. Livingston" one after you revealed it in the Background Game thread...pretty interesting, sofar.
Oh, and if you happen to have MAME, don't miss "Poker Ladies," a LOT more entertaining than Peek-A-Boo Poker.

For the record:

It's LIVINGSTONE. Dirty filthy Livingstons tried to claim him as an ancestor a while back, and people have been too lazy to tack on the "e" ever since. In fact, my younger cousin's teacher told her point blank that it was pronounced Livingston, not Livingstone. As if she would know.

Grrr...
