ok i have river city ransom..i know u kick with ctrl..but how do u punch and whats the button u press to buy something?

You play it on an emulator, right?
Then you can go into the controller setup and configure the buttons you want.

I'd also say it's worth buying a joypad/stick. I have one which looks similar to a SNES pad and it works great for NES and SNES roms.
