Avoid the PS2 version of Brothers In Arms 2. The amount of lag and slowdown I encountered was absolutely abominable. This was made worse by my brother's constant assurances that "we just need to clean the disk". Just letting you know.

Thanks, being that I plan to grab a PS2 in approximately 12.5 hours. Fortunately I'm not a huge fan of Brothers in Arms.

I've had a couple of games simply freeze during PS2 loading screens, and it's not just a long load time (eh, when it gets to three minutes it's time to think about pressing the reset button), they are: Champions Of Norrath Midway Arcade Treasures 2 With the arcade one, it's no big deal, but understandably, with Norrath, it can be very bothersome.

Glad I could help. Normally, I wouldn't have broadcasted something like that, but I was absolutely disgusted. It would run fine, but as soon as any intense close-quarters combat came up, I came up against the full gamut of lag problems. Horrible, horrible slowdown made me feel like I was moving underwater, jerky movement, screen freezing for one second and getting me killed... I mean, damn, I haven't seen stuff like that since my Counterstrike days.
