This may shock or scare or even build hate and hard feelings towards me but I have something to tell the NESFILES, I don't want this thread locked or deleted I am proud of who I am, I am a Homosexual. I came out about 1 and a half a go. Some of my friends at the time found ou they sprend the news around me school and before you know it I was the out cast. I lost all my friends and no one under stands me. As some of you also know I almost took my life. But I overcome that. I just don't understand why people treat me like an out cast, So I am Gay but is that a reason alone to treat me another way? No. I just hate to see this go on today. There is no Gay support groups in my town or any other near me..I have no where to turn for help and such. I pretty much over come everything, I just like to say Thank-You NesFiles for being there for me, And for that alone I am greatful.

It makes no difference to me. I disagree with the people you are talking about who feel like they have to run and hide from a gay person. And i can almost positively say that no one on this board is going to "hate" you or treat you any differently then before.

i'm not gay so i don't exactly know what you're going through, but my advice would be to just ignore them. who really cares what other people think?

I saw you mention something about the pride parade in your MSN name recently, so I thought it was common knowledge on the forums.

Regardless, it looks like you've gotten a handle on the situation. As for people treating you differently, just be yourself and by the time you're through with highschool things will probably be fine. In my experience, gay people are treated the same as everyone else in the later high school years.

If not, you'll have no problem finding friends in college/university who treat you as you deserve.

Not to be the nagative one, but that's exactly why you'll be mistreated. I'm 100% against the gay pride parade. I have nothing against homosexuals though.

I absolutely detest homosexuals who are just gay for the attention. There's no parade to celebrate the sexuality of straight people, why should there be one for gay people?

Don't go on rants, or go kissing men in public, and you'll be just fine. (For the record, I'm 100% opposed to straight people kissing and fondling in public as well)

Basically, in summary, nobody cares that you're gay, so don't go announcing it. It's exactly the same as being straight, it's not something to be proud of, or ashamed of. I'm not saying to keep it a secret, but I know a few other gay people who I absolutely cannot tolerate because every other sentence out of their mouths is something about being gay, and about how poorly gays are treated.

Yes, it looks like the gay pride parade is just about flaunting one's homosexuality. But it originally represented their strength to be open with how they were. It was a way to show that they would no longer accept a life of hiding.

I don't think it's all bad. There are bad aspects, like everything else, but the core of what it originally stood for still stands true.

EDIT: I agree with Luke, though. In daily life, just go about as normal. You will only serve to alienate yourself from others if you push and flaunt your lifestyle choice.

I read that on your myspace to which you had a link some time ago, so that's no news to me and I (as probably all others on the boards) am perfectly fine with that.

Hey, we're all gamers. That's why we're here on the forums. No reason to care about something like that.
Keep on gaming. :o

I agree. Aaron, you're a cool guy, your sexuality is not going to change that what so ever. I really can't understand that you're beeing treated like an outcast at your school, you need to find some real friends. It's hard to find friends who likes NES though, especially at my school, ah well...

I think it's cool that you announced it, although we don't care if you're gay, you're the same person you've always been in my eyes, and undoubtably in the others. Be who you are that's all I've got to say.

Besides some really cool people that has hit it big are gay, like my favorite lead singer: Freddie Mercury, and then you have Elton John, and Michelangelo was gay.

Actually, not all was thinking. Some was plotting, some was planning, and finally the explaining of my plan which I plotted after I thought of it.

I agree with what Luke said. It's unfortunate, but you'll always run into people who will treat you badly if it's flaunted too much. The gays who run around this town acting extemely effeminate and loud about it drive people bonkers, but you don't seem to act that way.
Just remember these words from Richard Pryor when you're feeling low:
"A gay man is still a man, and can still kick your ass!" :)

Doesn't matter to me dude. You are who you are. Just because you have a different sexual preferance than I may have assumed, doesn't mean I am going to change my opinion about you. It actually improved my opinion of you, for coming out and not being afraid to be you.. Bravo man, bravo.

I actually like people who are different from "the norm". Especially when you can kid around with them :). Alot of my buddies have something completely different about them than anyone else, and we kid each other about them all the time. Add's character.

If your friends ditched you because you came out, then your better off without them. A true friend is someone who cares about you regardless of your orientation, colour, sex ect.

It annoys me all this hate that people have towards someone/people they don't know. Get to know the person then decide, don't judge based on some insignifacant detail about them.

I need friends.... I had to nix Tom. He wasn't really my friend. His smile "mocked" me.
