I felt like I had to share this little "story" with you other guys here on the forum.

I remember when I was in Spain two years ago, when we went to this mall in the middle of the city. Of course, my father and myself went directly to the technical section. He wanted to look at a new digital camera, I wanted to look at games.

I went in a shop where they had alot of things. When I was looking around I saw both a Dreamcast and Super Nintendo!

I asked the clerk (some Indian guy) how much he would charge for the Super Nintendo and the Dreamcast. His reply was: "Well, considering that the Super Nintendo has most recently been released, it'll be about 200 Euros. The Dreamcast was released just a year ago so I'll give it to you on a discount price, 150 euros."

That was certainly an uninformed clerk. When I asked him what type of console this game was ment for as I pointed on a Super Nintendo cart, he gave himself away, and said it was for Nintendo 64!

Let's just say I didn't buy anything that day.

The ignorance...

Actually, not all was thinking. Some was plotting, some was planning, and finally the explaining of my plan which I plotted after I thought of it.

OMG the Spanish.

Where was that?
Somewhere in the middle of nowhere? I hope not in a big town...

What's really weird is that you have to ask for prices. Don't they usually put price stickers on? :?

HAHA,

Its like the time I went to Mexico one booth had those 700-in-one controller things and told me that it was new, I don't remember how much they were but I remember seeing them at the Mall near me here in Canada.

Beware the flea markets/pawn shops, etc., that don't.
One of these store owners flat told me one day, while I was shopping for movies, that he didn't put price stickers on certain items because he liked to "mentally size up" the person and decide a price based on whether the person "looked like a sucker or not."
The most confusing thing is why he was telling this to me. I was, after all, a customer. (Well, he kind of smelled a little soused), needless to say, I haven't been back to that store since.

If it doesn't have a price sticker.... it's probably too much!

I need friends.... I had to nix Tom. He wasn't really my friend. His smile "mocked" me.

Don't you dare buying those things! They say it's 700 games on it, but it's really just like 36 or something. They just repeat the same games over and over again. Like you have the game "Load Runner", then you have "Super Load Runner", and then "The Ultimate Load Runner". Guess what, they're all the same version!

I bought one of them called "Mega Joy", it's the worst piece of crap I've ever wasted my money on.

People who work in game shops whom have no knowledge about games piss me off. If your going to work in a shop, you really should make an attempt to know what your selling. I did, and that was in a bloody garden centre that I hated working in. Annoyingly, i'd really like to work in a game shop part time, but they seem to hire mostly uninformed bozo's.

Oh, yeah. At the Game Stop here, the common phrase, rather than useful information, seems to be "I dunno." I miss the Game Trader that used to be here. The guy who worked there was only about 17, but he had more knowlege about NES and every other game system in his little finger than all the people combined at this place. :(

Oh, ye of little faith, you underestimate the value of a cheap, superficially cool, last-minute christmas/birthday present.

Last-minute? Try last-second. Seriously, this controller thing is may be the worst of gaming matereal they ever let out on the market.

I guess I'll share my bad vendor story. My local place for games decided to crank prices from $3.99 or 3 for $10, up to $5.99, or 4 for $20. The main part that bothers me was that between me and a friend we were their biggest buyers of NES stuff, but at $5 each, their games became LESS economical than Ebay. What better way to thank a customer than to crank the prices beyond sanity? To my knowledge, when we were buying their games they had two rows of NES games. Now, they're up to five and I always see the same games there. Sad thing about the ordeal is we both lose.

My List. Remember, everything can be bought, for a price.

Well, I guess they got too greedy.
But you did the right thing by stopping to buy. The prices will go down again eventually.

Yeah...I got this jacked up place close by going by "Gameforce" in Glendale Ca.....I freakin' hate this place...not only are the people who work their little stuck up pricks....but they don't know shit about anything beyond the current generation, they even look down on you if your bying Xbox stuff and not Xbox 360 shit...little bastards..
I use to go in this place because they did at one time have fair prices and a great selection of NES, Genesis, and Snes stuff....but then I suppose they wised up..example I remember buying games like Contra, Batman, and Castlevania for about 3-5 bucks not bad...I walk in there recently and to my shock I see Castlevania sellin' for 24.99!!!!, Mega Man for 29.99!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...used!! apperantly they hired yet another prick who thinks he's an appraiser...and is doing a fine job of ripin' collectors of.....I wish this place went out a business...

I guess (because of these people are just so uninformed) that they think that NES games Genesis games and so on are valuable games since they're getting old. That might be right, depending on which game you speak of. You don't pay the same price for a "SMB/DH" game, as "Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde" game.
Apparently most stores stroke the same classic games under one comb (if I may use that expression) quite often.

It's either that, or they actually think that these games are the newest new, belive me, it happens!

Actually, not all was thinking. Some was plotting, some was planning, and finally the explaining of my plan which I plotted after I thought of it.
