I really want a Gamecube, however, I feel stupid getting one because when Nintendo Wii comes out it will be able to play GC games and I plan on getting that. I would like to have one though. I see a lot of games I would like to get also. What would you do?

First, I think this collection board is only for NES but....Are you getting a Wii at launch? If you are, wait for the Wii. Its suppose to come out around Nov and Dec.

Even though 'cubes are really cheap, i'd wait for the wii. The only reason I got a 'cube recently is because I won't be getting a wii for a while yet. But you should be more patitent than I, I guess. It's very likely the wii will rock or collective socks off.

I would appreciate if people from now on used the Gamecube thread that's already there. http://forums.nesfiles.com/viewtopic.php?t=2609When there are already threads with the same title, try to use those. Or one day we'll have 5 or more threads all named "Gamecube", which might cause a bit of confusion. As for the question: If you want a Gamecube for the sake of having one in the collection you need to get one of course. If you plan on buying a Wii and can wait, you'll be fine just with that as it plays GC games, too. And if you still want a GC, I'd wait some months. There may be some clearance sales for Gamecubes where you can get them dirt cheap. That's my guess.
