I received Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare (PC game) as a gift today. I just tried it out, and it's really cool, but the male character's head and torso don't show up during the actual gameplay. I can see through to the back of his coat. The female character, however, is perfectly fine. I'm wondering what could cause this.

The only thing I could think of is maybe your video card doesn't meet the requirements for that game. And from IGN it looks like you should have a 16MB video card at minumum. A 32MB or greater is recommended.

Did you enjoy the game? I think my video card should be fine, seeing as the game is somewhat dated and my computer is newer than the game. The game seems to require DirectX 8 but I already has 9 installed, but installed 8 with the installation anyway. I have a feeling that this may be causing problems.
