Ok, sorry to post all these topics. I'm just trying to find the most efficient way to have all my roms, emus, etc. localized. With the information received from Magic Potato Ninja, it seems more economical to get a pre-modded XBox (If I could do it, right, I would).
So I found some that are modded (able to play emus, copy games, new XBOX 360 Dashboard, 200 GB HD, LED Controler, Cables, + a LOT more). They come with an array of emulators and over 35,000+ Roms (Doing a lot of the work for me). The best part about it, is that it has a FULL 1-Year Replacement Warranty. The price is $250.00 (w/ shipping).
I'm look for opinions on this. I'm not sure if some of you have priced them before or not, that would help. Just wanted to hear something before I fork out $250.00.

I can see you really want a Modded XBOX so I would go for it I guess. Ask him if he can lower the price alitte.

I don't know much either, but 250 sounds decent. 200gb HDD is not bad and it's already modded. If you want it I'd say go for it.

Yeah I think I will. After all the apps, emus, and roms are loaded, there is still enough room for 70+ XBox games to be loaded on there. The following emulators are also setup and loaded:
Atari 2600
Atari 5200
Atari Lynx
Coleco
Commodore 64
Game Boy Advanced
Intellivision
MAME
NeoGeo
Nintendo 64 (N64)
Nintendo (NES)
PlayStation 1 (not a complete set)
Sega Master System
Sega Genesis/Sega 32X/SegaCD
Super Nintendo
Turbo-grafix16
Includes a total of 35,000 roms.
You can also come back and load roms of a DVD-R.
I'll have to be picky with PS1 games because I heard they were somewhat big in size.

Yeah, I'm getting all psyched about it know. For some reason, it's a big difference playing your roms on a PC and playing games off a console. It'll be nice to sit in front of the LCD big screen and playing Marvel vs. Capcom 2 off the XBox with my buds.
Also, just to add a little. He's throwing in a DVD-R of all handheld emulators (GB, GBC, GBA, GG) + 1000+ roms for each emulator.
I'll let you know how it works out.

Do you have a link to this offer? $250 for all of that is an excellent deal actually.
I spent $120 on a used XBOX, $65 on a solder-proof Xenium modchip, and $85 for a 250 GB Maxtor HDD.
In addition, I added all the emulators and ROMs manually which takes awhile. One reason being that there is a 40 character limit in file names for the XBOX's filesystem, and it's rather time-consuming to go through and individually count the number of letters in a file name and then rename them appropriately. I probably spent a few hundred hours total getting all my emulators/ROMs right, and I'm still missing some.
I just want to see the link to pre-modded XBOX deal, to check its "legitimacy".
Packaging systems with non-public domain ROMs sounds a bit shady.

Off topic but is it harder to mod an Xbox then an XB360? Also who here put Linux on there Xbox? I told my uncle about how he can play Nes on an Xbox. He was telling me he wants to play SMB but doesn't want to go buy a Nes, as the prices are not cheap for a Nes there. Is it safe to put Linux on an Xbox?

I'm absolutely positive he'll spend less on an NES and a copy of SMB/DH than he will on an Xbox, a mod chip, and the hassle of getting it set up. Please use common sense. Also, to everyone who says "X360" or "XB360" if you're too lazy to type Xbox, Just say 360. it's a gaming forum, everyone knows that 360 = Xbox 360.

But would it not be easier to put Linux on the XBOX, then going online and buying a Mod Chip? And then opening your XBOX and then installing the Mod chip? Too bad you can just Burn it to a CD-R a certain way and play it like on the DreamCast, too bad you couldn't do that on a XBOX, Oh well I guess. Also $70CDN for one of those Complete Action or something Nes system there. I did not get a chance to see the price's of used Xbox's there but it's $109CDN at some Pawn Shops, Also he has an Xbox.. Is it hard installing Mod Chips?

Also I was on that site and saw a list of games, XBOX ones and I think it said 0.1KB besaide there names, Are they the real Games? If so how did they shrink the file so small? Or are they Game Saves?

The actual games are MUCH larger.
I installed the latest version of 'XBOX Media Center' with the new MC360 layout. It's "awesoime"!
(Note: XBOX games' file sizes.)
Not only does the new XBMC improve the look, but functionality as well. Highly recommended.
