As part of his keynote speech at Goldman Sachs Communacopia XV Conference, CEO and chairman of Activision Robert Kotick announced that the Guitar Hero franchise would go multiformat in 2007, "on every significant new format". By this, We assume he means PS3, 360 and Wii.
Guitar Hero on the PS2, which came with it's own plastic guitar controller, met high critical acclaim, and generated a huge fan following. It's sequal, also on PS2 is out in November. YES! A Wii version! Source
