The reason I have ben such a major fan of the NES company was because of the NES, SNES, and N64. I think GCN went downhill though. It has gone more with a younger generation of gaming. I was looking for somthing better then Mario Sunshine, that game killed the mario series for sure, a Water Gun Pack?! Lets be serious fo once Nintendo. :(

I wouldn't go so far.
Sure, Mario Sunshine was a backstep compared to the great Mario 64.
But the Gamecube as a system is a very good system in my eyes.
Although there may be kiddie games, there are also many high quality games older people can enjoy.

yea but a majroity of those high quality games tend to bethe games that are for the PS2 and Xbox. I did like most games like SSBM and Mario Tennis but I was waiting for one of those majorly good titles. Sadly Nintendo has just been making sequels from good games like Star Fox and Mario, and then trying to fix them, some with not good results. ee how Kirby 64 > Kirby air ride. The Star fox game was OK, the Mario Party games are getting old now though.

I don't know the Mario Party games.
One thing is true, Nintendo is really going into sequels a bit much.
But Pikmin was a good title, exclusively for Gamecube.

And now Nintendo releases lots of very innovative titles for the DS.
For me, Nintendo is back... going uphill. (I hope very much... :) )

True, The GCN may have been a bit of a big drop in Nintendo's success but I hope the Revolutuon will be a rise. ames like Pimin 2 and SSBM were probably some of the ONLY good sequels though, I hope they don't go into to many sequels though.

I think (fear?) there will be sequels to Pikmin and SSBM on the new Nintendo revolution console.
I'm so eager to see the Revolution...

I don't think Nintendo have gone for a younger generation of gamers with the GC. They've always made those sort of games. The difference is that in recent years their competitors have been releasing more games with violence, sex and bad language, which in turn makes colourful games like Pikmin look kiddy.

Some people would rank games like GTA as mature. In actual fact I think it takes more genuine maturity to look past these stereotypes and find out for yourself what games you enjoy.

You quite write it down. 8)

Nintendo always had games of that sort. And I like those very much.

I don't think anything has really changed, other than the mass sequels. As was stated, they're still releasing games for everyone. if anything they've matured more with RE4 and other such games.

Yeah that's true. Nintendo are making too many average games now. However, an average Nintendo game is better than most of the stuff other companies churn out.

That's a true thing.
Although I don't feel they're making average games. Perhaps average for Nintendo, but when you look at them as a whole (compare them to other companies'), most of them are great.

Yes that's sort of what I was trying to say (although probably not very well :? ). For example, I could tear Wind Waker apart if I was to compare it to earlier Zeldas but as a game in it's own right I think it's very good. Same with Mario Sunshine. It seems that Nintendo are their own worst enemy in that they've set such a high standard for themselves.

It's good to be one's worst enemy to oneself...
Nintendo makes the best software ever and even if quality should drop behind older Nintendo productions, they still beat every other firm's software.
As for Wind Waker... I loved it even more that Ocarina of Time. I liked the cute graphics.

I liked the graphics too. My problem with wind waker was how much time you had to spend sailing around the ocean looking for yet another piece of treasure or yet another fish. Outside of the dungeons there wasn't any land to explore apart from a few minute islands. That's what I liked best about previous Zeldas. Definitely a good game, but it seemed to me they just slapped that giant ocean in there to make the game look a lot bigger than it actually was.

Probably that's why!
I liked the sailing part. :D But with the right takts you didn't need to sail so much, you could teleport everywhere.

Sailing around, find new islands or those battleships and so.
I really enjoyed it.

So you missed one of the best games of gaming history...

I liked sailing around, getting off the boat to explore this and that little island.
And now I'm impatiently waiting for the new Zelda. :D

But as we see here, people's tastes are different.
