Futureshop opens in 6 hours. I brought my brother coffee 3 hours ago. There were about 15 people waiting. Apparently he arrived 3 hours before that. I was at work. He's first in line. 12 hours. Damn. That's my story. As a sidenote, I think he intends on selling it. For 12 hours worth of work, I doubt it's worth it. Plus I know his girlfriend will get him to open it, so the value goes out the window. Maybe I'll go down there.

He is aware that there is no shortage of Wiis at all, right? selling a console that you can buy brand new in the store isn't going to generate a profit. Nintendo has been manufacturing for months. I think we'll have a steady supply for a good long while.

I don't know... apparently the store he went to sold out. So maybe it'll work out for him. I agree with you, though, Luke. Supply sounds like it ought to be high enough to keep ebay prices down. He seems to think he'll make enough to buy another wii in a month or something. We'll see how it goes, since he's going for it regardless.

Well, I got my Wii!!! I'm so excited. My Best Buy got 84 and I was number 78 in line!!! I also picked up Twilight Princess with it. Its really fun. Graphics are pretty nice. Wii Sports is really fun once you get used to it. I got there at 3:00am and was 81 in line (three people in front of me left before they gave out tickets so I was 78) when I got there. It was worth it though!

May I ask, does anyone here sweat much while playing the Wii? I have a feeling playing Wii sports for then an Hour will work up a sweat for sure.

Then again, I didn't play for an hour straight. I wouldn't worry about it. It plays great. It took a little bit to get used to all the games (on wii sports) but it is really fun now. Also, with Zelda, the Wii is great! I'm still having trouble setting up connection so I can access the Wii Shopping....I don't know why though....anyways, get a Wii! You won't regret it!

Alot of people are having Trouble connecting. Don't worry about it. The servers were down today I heard. And yes I can't wait to get a Wii. But the 360 will tie me over until Christmas. I also didn't pay "Full" price on the 360 I split the Bill with a Family member so I payed half. Anywho I can't wait for the Wii. The new DBZ game looks great. Same with Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz.

I'll have to wait for Christmas or my birthday in late February to get one; but it'll definitely by my choice over the PS3. For the Wii owners, how is the control with the Wiimote? Do you absolutely have to stand up (every picture I've seen of someone playing, they're standing with it)? I'm just wondering of the ol' back injury can take it.

I sit down in a chair in front of my tv. I normal lay down on my couch (which is on an angle from my tv) and its a pay to play the Wii doing that, but I brought a nice chair into my room and I sit in that while playing. The remote is very sensetive. Takes a little getting used to but not much. Also, you can swicth the sensetivity.

Oh and Malon have you bought any VC games yet? I know the VC line up at Lanuch was kind of weak.

It says something with the Wii Connect 24 is wrong and to try back later. I do plan I downloading a VC game soon though.

I think that the VC game selection is so weak it's hurting the selling point. Of the 29 games announced only 9 are listed for release on Nov. 19th. I would say of the games they list the best ones are all Sega games. I know it doesn't matter who makes them, but this is Nintendo's product, where are the Nintendo games? I mean sure Mario64, Sim City, F-Zero, Legend of Zelda, and Donkey Kong are good, but I would sooner grab gunstar heroes, mean bean machine, or toe jam over any of those. And as far as I know they discontinued the NES Classics on GBA, and i'm not sure about the SNES remakes for GBA so it's not like they'd cut into those sales. Sorry for the rant, but the whole VC concept boggles my mind. I know I read somewhere that Super Mario World would be available at launch, but does anybody know for sure? I would love more information on the VC, especially if somebody with a Wii could let me know if the selection is more or less what is on the nintendo website. Aslo, is the game yours forever? Do you download it to your wii and can play it without an internet connection?

I also heard that SMW was going to be at Lanuch...but I guess not :( I am pretty sure once you buy a VC game it's yours to keep and you can play it offline. Hopefully they would add some Online to some games, Like Mario Kart 64 or Mario Party..ETC.

Don't fear, the good titlles are still to come. They won't give you all the AAA stuff right at the beginning. :)
I hope for Secret of Evermore, as I never got that on my SNES, but still want to try it...
May 16th...

Another thing I am upset about is the Blue light. It doesn't stay on while the Wii is on. Only when you turn it one. Enter/Remove a Disk or when you get an Email. And it only lasts for a few moments. It's alright not that big of a biggie. Hopefully when I get the Wii I will be able to buy SMW on VC.
