I wouldn't call almost-a-nine low. Actually, I'd say practically 9 is pretty good. If it wound up being a 9 in stead of an 8.8, would anyone care? Sorry, it's just that at some other forum I go to, people were saying things along the lines of "I want to kill Jeff, that fat moron, and his whole family. I bet he was too busy eating the wiimote and being stupid to give the rating I wanted him to give." I'm paraphrasing a bit, but that's basically the idea.

IGN gave Zelda TP 9.5I really can't wait to pick this one up. It may very well be the best Zelda game ever.

I also wouldn't call 8.8 especially low. It's a good score I guess.
Just pick it up when you get a Wii and have fun.
The scores say it's a great game. :) I want it, but not now. It might endanger my graduation... :lol:

I have this thing mostly paid for already at my local GameStop. I am going to love it no matter what the reviews say? Why? 'Cause I was raised on Zelda and Rock 'n' Roll. No doubt that I will hold the game as my own personal sword-training grounds. :D At least... I hope that you use the Nunchuck as the sword... the review seemed to be vaugue on their control-system comment...
Ah well. Here's to another Zelda game!

Hmm. It would seem like the reviewer needs to look up the word "sequel" in the dictionary, IMO. The game needs to have some elements of the past games, or we might as well call it by a different name.
That's why I like the third Zelda game so much, because it brought back a lot of gameplay aspects from the first one. While I liked the second game, it just deviated too far from the original.

A sequel can be evolved from the previous. in fact, if it's not, why not just keep playing the last iteration? as for "feeling of nostalgia crosses the line," I personally felt that way about New Super Mario Bros. Sure, it was a good game, but it wasn't much more than a "Hey, remember how much fun SMB was?" kind of thing. Neither of us are qualified to comment on this specific game though, as neither have played it. But I can comment on the fact that you're ripping a reviewer for stating an opinion of a game that they have played, and you have not.

Reviewing a review, in other words. Hey, in my opinion, that was just a reflex. When someone insults a Zelda game to a Zelda fan, aggressive natural responses kick in. It's to be expected.

I bought it for the Gamecube and I'm really loving it.. Well worth the 50 dollars. I'm pressed to decide if I like it better that OoT. If you only buy one more game for the GC or Wii this should definitely it. Cleighten gives it a 10

Has anybody played both the 'cube and wii versions? i'm torn between getting the 'cube version now or waiting what would be about 6 months before getting a wii and then getting it. Are the only differences the fact that the Wii has a different control scheme and widescreen presentation and slightly more polished graphics (although the cubes graphics are fine) I'm thinking of maybe just getting it for the cube (it is essentially a cube game anyway). So, can anybody tell me if it's so much better on the wii that it's worth waiting 6 months for?

I've been playing through the GC version of this game, and I must say it's a blast. Firstly, the graphics and lighting effects are really good, along with the sound/music. The world is also pretty huge too. There's some nice effects, like the dust link kicks up when he runs and the crap that falls of doors when they are opened for the first time. There's some great touches, like the sumo wrestling match. I was worried that as it is meant to be a "serious" Zelda it wouldn't have a sense of humour like in WW&OOT but i'm glad to see this isn't the case. It looks to be a lot longer than the WW too.
I would strongly suggest getting this game, don't be put off buying the GC version because it's "inferior" (the wii version probably is better) but the GC version is so damn good anyway.
The only downside is seraching for the tears as wolf link is pretty boring.
Buy it!

My boyfriend and I have been playing the Wii version and it's damn fun! *We trade off every once in a while to be fair*.
Haven't quite got a handle on fishing yet.
And I don't know why but I think it's really fun to beat up the chickens and then you become one for like 30 seconds.
I'm glad my husband basically stole money out of my checking to buy this game *he says he'll pay me back*.

i've got the Wii version, but i've played the Cube version....its so weird because its all flipped.
"Super Metroid" all thats needed.

Yeah, mine is the Cube version.
I want a Wii but I am waiting until they come out in black and I can actually afford one, the car is draining way to much from my wallet and I am unemployed for a little while longer.
And just for the record, I have 44 hours even on it and though I beat it I am missing some of the extras (like at least 3 of the full heart containers to start with).

I bought a copy of Twilight Princess today and played it with a friend. I love adventure games, this being no exception.
The graphics were OK, but then again, the Wii is known for focusing more on gameplay rather than graphics, which is good.
I see it's a lot of the old stuff taken from the earlier Zelda games. Like the three hearts that represents your lives and that text appears when you're talking to someone, instead of sound.
Actually, not all was thinking. Some was plotting, some was planning, and finally the explaining of my plan which I plotted after I thought of it.
