Ever saw a gamecube in famicom colors? Would it be cool if someone made the same with our Western NES-color theme?

that would be cool for sure! I had no idea they made a Cube in the FC colours. I knew about the GBA SP. but that's much cooler. if they were to release discs with say 10 or so NES games on them that would be all that much more cool.

I don't think these are official releases. Nothing of that kind was written there. I think both were made by individuals.

the top image is pretty official looking, and they did do something similar with the GBA SP, as I already mentioned, I wouldn't be surprised if at least the top image was an actual release. and if it's not, I say it should be. could be just the thing needed to get some old-schoolers to get a Cube.

You can make everythink look official with some computer skills. I looked on the official Nintendo homepage and they didn't have it there. All the colors of gamecube I know are those: Black Purple orange platinum gold Tigers special edition Tales of Symphonia cyan special edition Bandai's Mobile Suit Gundam red special edition That should be all official releases... correct me if there are more.

maybe it was a Japan only release, unless that's the page you checked... if it's not official that's very unfortunate, and I guess it means I'll have to buy some paint :)

Well if that is unofficial it's better than all the official ones in my opinion. There's also the yet to be released:

ah yes, the RE4 Cube, I read about that one a few days ago. looks cool, but not anything special in my opinion, just a normal platinum one with the RE4 logo and a different coloured base.

Yeah nothing all that special like you say. The best bit about the bundle is it has an exclusive bonus disc with a making-of documentary and other demos. Not worth the money if you already have a cube but may persuade Resident Evil fans who don't.

That isn't too special.
That bonus disc came with the Japanese game at least in the first printing. So if you want the disc, just aim for the Japanese version of the game. Should be cheaper than buying a gamecube set.

it did, but it was a Japan-only release, as so many things are... it was called the "Panasonic Q" it's a strange looking machine. EDIT This place seems to have some images and comparisons

I know, but I didn't mention it because I don't consider it as a regular cube version. Here's a photo.

I did not really see the point in it's creation, if anything that is what should have come out. The only ppl that will buy it are the ppl who have JUST decided to buy a GCN

People with too much money bought it in Japan. If I had the money, I'd buy it, too. It looks cool. 8) Now everybody can make his own famicom cube! Just get your scissors and glue ready! http://www10.plala.or.jp/bruin/papercraft.jpgShould the link break, I also uploaded it to imageshack.
