Remember how the DS won Dragon Quest over the PSP? The Wii has done the same over the PS3. Things are not looking too good for Sony. Quote: "Since 1986, the DRAGON QUEST series has gained acceptance around the world and has been a staple of video gaming history," said Yuu Miyake, Executive Producer, Square Enix. "We believe its appeal lies in simplicity that anyone can enjoy, and the excitement of becoming a hero in an epic adventure. With the Nintendo Wii, we believe that these aspects of the DRAGON QUEST experience can be taken to a whole new level of fun and interaction."
DRAGON QUEST SWORDS The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors is being developed with every aspect of the unique Wii hardware in mind. Additional details, including ship date and pricing, will be announced at a later date.

Well, it has been known for quite a while now that this game would come for Wii. Still nice to read. Since I've always liked Dragon Quest more than Final Fantasy I'm ok with the fact that FF still is on Sony consoles. Looking forward to DQ Wii. :D

I'm glad. I hope Nintendo proves that Sony's run since 2000 was a fluke.

If Nintendo has anything to gain, it's in the RPG category. Ever since the N64 came out, I never gave a second thought to Sony having control over that category. The Wii has a good price, and it has the party games to back it up. If Nintendo licences some games with a lot of depth, such as a good number of RPGs, then it has a good chance at being the industry leader over the long run.

It seems we're in the same group. :) I'd also like to see many more RPGs on Nintendo systems. Let's hope for the future.

I'm not really that into RPG games, but I'm still in the same boat, because I've always quite enjoyed them nevertheless. It's like some shows on TV for me, it's like when the intro begins, you would pick up the remote and zap on for something else, but you're too lazy. Once you've started watching it anyway, it's quite entertaining.
Yes, I would want to purchase some RPG games for the Wii and perhaps some older systems. I need some help though. It seems that this line of RPG games is quite good, so I'll try that, but what else? Any reccomendations?
Actually, not all was thinking. Some was plotting, some was planning, and finally the explaining of my plan which I plotted after I thought of it.
