I found this while googling around, there are some interesting facts and opinions in there, as well as some hints for future games.

Having someone in charge of the next Zelda who doesn't like the original Zelda or Mario is a bit... unsettling.

that was my thinking on the matter, although it could just mean new and great things. because I think from the screenshots and videos we've all seen, nobody can debate the fact that the game looks awesome. I suppose the only way to know for sure is to play it when (if) it ever releases. that game was the reason I bought my Cube.

Even if he didn't like the first Zelda, he might do a great job. I trust in Nintendo.

And what he said was right, basically...
Quote:
When I first played it, I did not know what I was doing. I was overwhelmed by enemies and I got killed right away. It's not like I was a horrible game player or a great game player, but I did not know what to do and I kept dying and dying, so I ended up tossing the game away.

You don't know what you're doing, because nobody is telling you in the game. You just stand there, grab a sword and go around, not knowing what you do.
You can't like that game when you don't go into it. He just didn't come as far as to go into it.

May 16th...

Yes and I can identify with that because the first Zelda I played was Zelda II and I didn't have a clue what to do. Not liking it for that reason isn't a problem as it just gives ideas on how to improve. I'm sure he'll do a great job, he's been working on Zelda projects for 8 years after all.

I think its a cool approche to have some guy who dislikes old Zelda come in and do it. it means he will make it different from the other Zelda games and make it kick even more ass than the ones he doesnt like. (I still think the guy is on crack with the whole dislikeing Mario and Zelda but, eh, to each his own)
