I'm working on it. The game is way too "buggy" for people who have "not-so-awesome" graphic cards (like me). I can only play it when I go to my friend's house, who has a good graphics card. It always crashes on my computer. From what I played, it's amazing. Certainly the best looking PC game I've ever seen. I like the new ability to pick up and move objects around, and the new gravity gun (which now has my vote as "the greatest video game weapon EVER"). The physics engine slays any other current game's, and the addition of vehicular stunt action sequences just this game over the top. Granted, the first Half-Life game was pretty dam good. Half-Life 2 seems to be exceptionally better. I haven't made it all the way through yet (I think I left off somewhere near the beginning of Ravenholm), but hopefully I can continue when I make that mandatory trip to my friend's house this weekend. Haven't tried 'Counterstrike' (Source) yet. That's more for the multiplayer experience. I like a good single-player game instead. Anyway, I need to get busy on HL2 again soon so I can be in the right place to make all the difference in the world. ... Also for anyone interested... Here's a ridiculously impressive Half-Life 2 "speed run". http://speeddemosarchive.com/HalfLife2.htmlLAMAR! http://www.playthenes.com

I'll have to agree 300% about the gravity gun, that thing rocks hard. I love picking up the sawblades and stuff and other objects and tossing them... I'm not sure about best looking though, Doom 3 is VERY nice looking as well. although much too dark. we'll have to wait until we see some more games based on the Doom 3 engine to do an accurate comparison though.

From what I've played of it, it seems like a pretty kick *ss game. I haven't done much in terms of trying to actually run through it, but I think it plays nicely and has great graphics.... Hopefully I can get to it sometime soon... http://robertlbryant.com

Sorry that I can't share your enthusiasm. I don't like Half Life or any other 1st person shooter. I don't know why, possibly because I suck at them...

You can download enhancements and patches (new graphics), but not graphic cards. Hardware downloads are still far away I think.

I think that would be pretty great other than the fact that conductive ink dries up and cracks, and then no longer functions properly...

I once read about a printer that could print threedimensional objects... I wonder what that was. It was some Austrian company that advertised it.

That'd be sweet indeed. Of course you could just print things made from one fabric (they advertised with printing shields and plates and stuff), but that would be cool. I don't know prices. When I remember the companie's name I'll do some research on it.

Unfortunatley they don't list prices. You would have to contact them. But it's definitely not cheap. Printers sell for about 50k $. :) http://www.zcorp.com/news/pressroom.asp

That is severely frightening technology. What is that stuff anyway? Foam? Playdough? It's really neat and all, but I still want my own "gravity gun"! http://www.playthenes.com
