2 days ago, I just re-downloaded my ZSNES EMU on my new comp and started playing this Secret of Mana RPG. Awsome game. I got some screen shots http://www.freewebs.com/projectct/SecretMana%200001.bmphttp://www.freewebs.com/projectct/SecretMana%200002.bmp^^^ Look at the bottom % bar (2nd pic). It plays like Zelda but in this game, you can't just swing your sword, if you wait and let this bar reach 100, you can deal damage with the most of the swords power. Anyway, SoM is a great game.
If you were impressed after a few hours you'll be much more impressed later on.
You can power up all your weapons and do quite amazing special moves with them.

I can't wait to leanr magic or somthing. The enemys use magic on me and I can't move or anything so it's forced to work basically.

Just play on a little time. You will be able to make quite cool spells soon.
And if everything is on the highest level, sometimes the magic animations change! :P I was very impressed I saw that the first time.

When I had SoM on my emu from my '98 comp, I got to this undeground place, I remember I was stuck on this boss from the ground, I think thats when you get the imp girl or somthing. Now I'm in the forest peice (my 200 comp) (after you kill the 2 wolfs guarding the girl)

Ok now I remember, I was stuck on the Witch's tiger thingy. I just got to it, it is so hard. It constantly does magic so i can't activate my menu to heal or anything.

The thing is you have to start magic sooner than he does. It's all about the right timing.
Just try it again and again. :)

No magic yet?... It's such a long time, I don't remember from when you can use good magic. :oops:
But that boss definitely is beatable.
I say that because I beat it. Actually I beat the whole game without dying. 8)

My signature contains Japanese characters, when your PC can't display them you just get random #.+ and stuff. :wink:

Yo,I finaly beat Spikey! Sadly the girl and sprite were dead so only the boy got EXP. Also, should I train till I get magic before recuing the water elemental? I was in the cave and I was training when I ACCIDENTALLY stumbled into a boss battle, luckily it was an easy kill of a boss.

Ok, I beat the reptile dude and I got Undine's magic, apparently, I had to get magic AFTER the Spikey Tiger Battle manuel!!! :evil:

yes this game is really great. I just started myself . Dont know if its just me but i find this game really challenging. I die ALOT.
