um.... Are you referring to the original Metal Gear for the Nintendo Entertainment System? If so, it's only called Metal Gear.... it's not Metal Gear Solid.

There is however, a Metal Gear Solid for Game Boy Color. It was called Ghost Babel in Japan.

Anyway, both games are great, and you should check them both out... Awesome series.

Well, if you like good "adventure" games, look no further than Metal Gear.

Metal Gear on the NES is great. The original MSX version is slightly better (although much much harder).

I liked 'Metal Gear' so much, I even made the "home game" back in the day.

Yeah, MGS is DEFINITELY a sequel. I wonder sometimes if people even know that.

The first Metal Gear on MSX does blow the NES version away, but as you said dweller, there's a special place for it. It's the game that introduced me to Metal Gear in the first place! Had I known about the original from Japan, I would've been flippin' out back then! "To hell with blowing up a computer! I want to blow up Metal Gear!," would've probably been what I would've said.

It wasn't until about a year ago that I finally got to experience MG 2: Solid Snake. Man, that game is great! Crawling, fighting a moving Metal Gear, the death of Big Boss (no cyborg crap!). It was a really well put together game, with very neat bosses.

Then there's the Solid series, which is beyond great! Each release has been better than the last. Actually, that's with the entire Metal Gear series (not including side story hand held versions, which are still REALLY good)! It seems there are many people that didn't like the character Raiden in place of Solid Snake, but I didn't mind it at all. I thought it was cool seeing things from someone else's point-of-view.

Have you tried any of the earlier titles yet, _NrG_?
