Well, Derek doesn't give a shit about the place anymore, so we've been forced to lock down user registrations.

This has lead to very few legitimate users getting through, so no new topics get posted.

That, combined with the fact that the regulars have pretty much run out of things to talk about...

The NES Files is dead.

Luke pretty much summed it up well....
We had big spam problems so that we had to implement user activation by admins. You were lucky to get through.

The problem is, there isn't much NES news these days.
Now you could try to be more active and revive this place a bit.

I have to say that Luke is right, the NES Files is unfortunately dead. I still come here though, since there is still some stuff to write about and still some nice people to talk to:

Like manuel, even though we have these grammar issues once in a while. You are a really clever, witty and genuine nice person.

Uber Newb, with his sophisticated humour that would fit right in, in any British skit.

Luke, who must be the most responsible guy I've ever met, and who keeps this site running.

Aaron, with his enormous mind that could probably fill Grand Canyon, considering that he always has new topics somewhere lying around. Keep 'em coming!

Roth, who I haven't seen in quite a while, but still is one of the coolest guys around. He would make anyone with a bad day happy, and that's just by reading his posts on the net.

OneGenerationTooLate, dude, you have got to be the most sassy person I've ever bumped into. Someone post an unnecessary post or just something stupid, BOOM, you're out with a snarky comment. You know what? That is just how everybody wants you to be. Oh, yeah, your hair is great too.

And Jenni, the only female NES fan at the site, but probably one of the ones I talk to the most. Send your drawings to someone and make a living out of it, I order you!

These are the people I generally think about when anyone should mention this site.

I give my absolute best efforts to try to create new topics or keeping interesting topics that are dead, alive. The only thing that I'm a little disappointed about is that I never posted as much as some of you, but hey! Over 600 posts isn't that bad. :)

I will definitely stay here till the end might come.

Actually, not all was thinking. Some was plotting, some was planning, and finally the explaining of my plan which I plotted after I thought of it.

Yeah, i was quite a dick in a few places in a few posts in this place, and quite a stupid ass brained knuckle fuck in a few comments and replies.

But now I'm hard on the mary jane and i've chilled out, spend more time doing things I like rather than ridiculing others for things i may be guilty of!

I think i'll start posting again, hopefully some will see me as less of a crazy grizzly whore and more of a decent nigger

hey devil that cried, why the new account?

Post much (but only interesting stuff of course), like new topics or something.
Maybe invite friends.
I'd not say this place is dead, but... sleeping?

There's a difference between unemployment and welfare.

You pay in to unemployment, everyone with a job is entitled to go on unemployment if that employment ends. Of course they only pay out for so long, based on how much you paid into it.

Welfare on the other hand is (supposed to be) just for helping people through a rough spot, but it's often abused.

My point exactly. Like if you've got a back injury because of the work you do, or otherwise, you can request welfare.

Unless your being sarcastic, you still have it wrong.

Yeah, injury @ work = compensated work pay.

Having children when you can't even take care of yourself and refusing to get up off your lazy ass = welfare (Now I know "some" people actually use this system legitimately, but it is highly abused.
