So I was at Wal-Mart and checking out the DS games (bad selection there, I might add), and I happen to look down where the PSOne games that they have left were. There were about four PS2 games all by themselves with those games, so I took a closer look. What's the name of the first one I see? Neo-Contra! Holy #@$%! I was like, it's mine! So I had the lady come and grab it out of the case for me. I get home and pop in this bad boy, and I wasn't the least bit disappointed! This game is really fun! It has all kinds of different camera angles to play from, and your characters are kind of like super men in a way. They do all these cool things like scaling walls, and running on helicopter blades. The bosses are cool, too. Of course, keeping up with Konami's current trend (minus the MGS series) is a cheesy story with awful voice actors. I don't mind this so much, at least I get a chuckle out of it after playing some difficult levels. If you have a PS2 and a means of at least renting this to check it out, do so. I think you'll like it. http://robertlbryant.com

As far as I know NeoContra was a normal priced game either 39.99 or 49.99 (USD). The one before that was Shattered Soldier (PS2) which was released for the normal price. Those are the last two that I know.

Yeah, it did seem easier. I've got to the fourth board on my first play, though using all the continues. I couldn't even get past the first two levels on my first shot at Shattered Soldier! I like the different perspectives though. It gives it a different feel, but somehow, you still know that you're playing Contra. I look forward to beating this game, it's going to be fun! As for your question about perspective, _NrG_. It's a bunch of different angles! It's cool. There's a semi-side view where you're riding on this lizard looking thing, and the camera constantly changes. It's awesome... Faille... $100 Contra? Where did you read and/or hear about that? That's insane! I'd like to know what that is! http://robertlbryant.com
