A similar thing happened to me. On something like three separate occasions I tried to beat Yoshi's Island 100% but always got sidetracked. Some of the secret levels are really hard especially when trying to collect everything.

"Roth" wrote: Anyway, I just conquered Frankenstein for the NES. It's a... decent game. You pretty much have to get to the final boss with almost every extra life you can get. I had fun going through it though :)
I couldn't even figure out how to get near that Grim Reaper guy, I shudder to think how cheap old Frankie was.

The Grim Reaper is pretty easy :P As long as you don't get hit by the time you get to him, you can just shoot him with your magic (or whatever the hell it is). If you don't have that, just get close enough that his scythe won't hit you when he swings it, then go in with a hit. Yeah, Franky is pretty cheap... and just when you think you beat him, you don't... and just when you think you beat him finally, you don't! Ha! Classic. http://robertlbryant.com

Yes you can. After beating some of the enemies on the first screen (two-legged, not the blue guys), they will drop an orb looking deal. Duck on top of that. Voila... you can shoot. That is, until you take damage. http://robertlbryant.com

Just got done conquering A Nightmare On Elm Street. Very solid game, but it does take some practice on the controls. The attack feels sluggish somewhat. Good fun though. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v287/I_am_Roth/conquered/a_nightmare_on_elm_street.jpgNote: After I took the pic, the words "... or has it?" appeared at the bottom. Unfortunately, I had already shut off my camera at this point, and by the time the damn thing turned back on, the title screen popped up :? http://robertlbryant.com

For the past few months, I've been playing Son Son for the Famicom and yesterday, I finally beat it. I think I would have done so alot sooner had I been playing with another player. But I've been going solo. It had a pretty cool ending, but it came and went so quickly that I didn't get to capture it with my camera. After you beat the game, you start over and you play through the game again, but you maintain your score and it's alot harder. Anyways, I think getting through it once was a pretty good accomplishment. Here's some pictures of the score I beat the game with, and another with my score after I died in the second run through.

Good scoreage. I've got that one on Capcom Arcade Classics, for some reason it's one of the more addictive ones on there. Maybe that Bubble Bobble attraction of food greediness?

Ok, I didn't conquer per se, but I do have the best score one can get...
And I'm almost done with "basic" Sudoku. :D http://www.myspace.com/jennikisaI need friends.... I had to nix Tom. He wasn't really my friend. His smile "mocked" me.

Yesterday I completed all the cups in Mario Kart DS, in the 50cc class, using Wario. Today or tommorow i'll try the 100cc class. It's a pretty fun game, although I couldn't really "get" into it a first. As soon as I progressed more, it definatley become more enjoyable. There's some cool courses, and the "retro" cup is a welcome bonus, although I wish there were some more courses from the original Mario Kart in it. I reccommend this game highly, so if you've got a DS you should really consider it, although I assume (maybe wrongly) most people on here who own one have it. Next up is Project Gotham Racing 3 (on "hard" difficulty) and Sonic Rush.

Just Conquered Pariah for the Xbox. What a bore-fest. It tries to be Halo 2 and Half-Life 2, and comes close to neither. Thankfully it was only $10 CDN brand new.

Shoot, I forgot to keep up with my conquered games, I'm still pissed over the FF1 cartridge battery dying. I read in another post that someone beat FF1 in a marathon 24-hour session (was it Roth)? Anyway, so far this week: Super Mario Bros. (not as good as I used to be, I tend to mash the run button a bit too much, anyway), Mike Tyson's Punch-Out Wizards & Warriors 1 **EDIT**: Holy leaping winged turtles, Batman! I'm a Koopa Paratroopa now! Just noticed.
