That's where I usually get my ROMs, but some of them won't work with NNnesterj. Shifter has helped me out with a few that wouldn't work!! Thanks again, dude! http://robertlbryant.com

are you running them from the zip file, or extracting them? some of those zips have extra junk in them... I extracted all of mine last night... that took some time.

some emulators can't read from the zip file. I was thinking that maybe the various README files within the zips would confuse the emulator and prevent the ROM from loading properly.

No problem... visitor, is it? Why don't you register with NESfiles instead of being a guest? http://robertlbryant.com

I agree with Roth, very nice concept, I hope you can get it all finished up. It would be great to have a central place for all of the ROMs you could ever want.

Well, all the ROMs are online and accessible from the site right NOW. I just don't have pretty pages built for them yet. You can still browse all the ROM directories and get whatever games you want.

So, will it stay no voting, or will a voting concept be thrown into it later? That's what I love about: http://www.theoldcomputer.com/Libarary's/Emulation/ROMs_summary.htm They have a deal that you can vote once if you WANT to. And why wouldn't you want to? It's a painless process of A click. Very professional. http://robertlbryant.com

I can agree with ads because you have to pay for bandwidth somehow. but offensive ads are irritating. I had almost given up on emulation due to the fact that you have to do all that voting garbage, and are still often times not forwarded to the ROM sections.

I don't plan on any advertising or voting. I get 30gbs of monthly bandwidth, so as long as the site doesn't get TOO popular, it shouldn't be a problem. To exceed 30gbs, the entire site would have be downloaded 30 times over. The highest my bandwidth ever got was 10gbs, and that was when I was hosting some MAME ROMs and plugging the site on several video game forums. Shouldn't be a problem. Also, that's a "stripped down" version of my NES collection. That should just include the bare necessities to cover every game made. I have a much more complete collection of about 8,000 ROMs that I keep offline. If you can't find a title, I can add it to the database.

Oh, those 8,000 ROMs I mentioned are JUST NES. I also have a complete Genesis, if you're into that sort of thing, and an old complete MAME. (The MAME collection is no longer up-to-date. Support for TONS of new ROMs has been added, and I haven't kept up. Still, most any arcade game you'd like, I have.) I had complete SNES and GBA as well, but they were lost in a dumb hard drive mistake a while ago, and I haven't had the heart to replace them yet.
