I came across these excellent pictures that someone took at the Nintendo World opening this weekend. http://www.ga-forum.com/showthread.php?p=1359664It's great to see quality pictures of what the NES was originally going to look like. I didn't know there was planned to be a keyboard (although I think the famicom had one). And what's going on with that zapper! The SP cabinet is also impressive. I didn't know so many had been released. Edit: Actually, apparently that isn't the actual AVS console but its disk drive. That makes more sense.

Good post. I saw the pics before the link broke. It looked like Nintendo was originally planning on releasing a "tape drive" (or at least that's what it looked like in the photo). That would have been an interesting add-on. Also, the "zapper" looked more like battery powered novelty device for women (if you know what I mean). http://www.playthenes.com
