Here's a news report telling some of the things that the X360 can do. http://www.techspot.com/story17606.htmlSome really cool things, along with some really weird ones. Three 3.2 gigahertz processors :!: , that cause it to use a water cooling system :?: Also, there are questions of backwards compatibility. hmmm... I guess we'll see. http://robertlbryant.com

Isn't the design of the 360 a bit Apple-inspired? :? Or is it just me and a friend of mine who think so? :?:
I'm quite sure 360 will be compatible to old XBox games. And even if not, hey, they probably can emulate the XBox on that thing?

I just wonder what the price of it will be when it comes out.

backward compatibility will be emulation if it exists at all. The 360 uses a different CPU than the Xbox. although I do predict that it's more than fast enough to emulate the Xbox. I don't think it's Apple inspired, Apple doesn't own the colour white... and yes Ninja Gaiden4005, cost is my biggest concern as well. although I'm hearing between $299 and $399. I have no idea how they plan to pull that off without losing $5000 per console, but I'm just praying...

WOW 400 bucks. Im gonna have to wait along time for that price to drop or just get an original x box just to see what they are like.

Most likely NOT the same way the XBox 360 will be water cooled, but water cooled nonetheless.

Water cooling involves continuously moving water through a heatsink, which involves pumps, and a resevoir. The Dreamcast has neither, just a pipe (which would be a hose in a water cooling setup) that transfers heat from the CPU and GPU to the heatsink that the fan on the right side of the console is attached to.

There is liquid in those heat pipes. It's circulated passively with convection. EDIT: Reading into it a little further, it appears only the Japanese version of the console had this cooling? I could have sworn the US version had it too...

I would estimate that the pipe, the full loop of it is maybe 8" long, which isn't enough (especially with that wimpy fan as cooling) to lower the temperature of the water enough to do anything.
