Can you tell me if the front lit screen on the GBA SP is any better then the Innovation Halo light I now have on my GBA?

Well, I haven't used that particular light. But, if the Innovation Halo light doesn't give you perfectly even illumination of the screen, while producing absolutely no glare, then no, it's not better than the SP screen. EDIT: I kinda answered your question backwards, didn't I? I really hate light attachments though, and would opt for a backlit screen any day.

The SP's lighting is great, but GBA games look EXCELLENT on the DS. Also, don't forget the Gameboy Micro is coming out, and its supposed to have a very crisp, clear (but a little smaller) screen on it. I've never seen your lighting kit in action. I had a friend that had an afterburner and it totally washed the colors out on the screen. Looked terrible if you ask me.

I assume not one single lighting kit will be comparable in quality to background lighting in the GBA or DS.
