I know there maybe a really easy way to find out the age of your NES but im not sure. I know when my family bought it, it cost $89.26 or something like that.. the price tag is still on the box too lazy to go look. Im thinking 90 bucks was expensive for NES when it first came out. Any1 think they can ballpark this and try to guess when i got it?

$90 sounds like nearing death to me... I think it retailed for $250+ at launch, console costs haven't really changed a lot, especially when you take into account inflation...

I exactly remember when I got mine. It was during the Easter Holidays of 1993.

Just the console, no gun, cost 2850 Belgian Franc. At that moment, 1US$=35 Belgian Franc.

I think I got mine on Christmas 1991... don't remember, though. That's far too long ago. :P

May 16th...

I think my family got ours for xmas 89' or 90'. It came with the power pad and the gun. We wore out the springs in the damn thing so we ended up getting the "newer" vamped version later on where you stick the game into the slot on the top *wait....that sounds bad.....* :

So when my when it was just me and my mom left in the end I saved it from the garbage pile! Yeah for me! :D

I dout this counts since I dont have it anymore, but I got my NES in 1992 and had all three Mario games and Dick Tracy. But when my mom and stepdad at the time split, that jerk took off with my NES. It was mine too and I remember crying when I found out that prick stoll it (I was 5 years old so dont even laugh at me). But Im 17 now and Im trying really hard to get a NES with a new 72 pin connector 'cus I heard that once the new metal connector is installed, those things never die again.

I've cried over less (like when I was 19 and my boyfriend "killed" my talking barbie and further crippled my wheelchair barbie. I still miss her!) so don't sweat it. You ever think of payback? :)
