In case you didn't know, here is a list of games available for the DS... if there are any others that you know about, post it here

http://www.gamepro.com/nintendo/ds/games/news/38548.shtml

And here's some games that are being worked on. Some of the launch release games are listed here, too.

http://www.gamepro.com/nintendo/ds/games/features/37208.shtml

It seems they tried to touch bases on all different styles of games. I need to try this system out!

I have a friend that's getting one, with some luck I'll get to check it out on Thursday of next week, so I can report in with my opinion then.

Got one on launch, and am totally in love with it. Own Mario 64 DS and Feel the Magic. Pictochatting is a blast, as well.

How are the controls on it? I haven't even tried one at Wal-Mart's electronics section, yet.

I haven't seen one other than under glass, stupid stores in this area are too cheap to put one out for playing with.

The touch screen for Mario 64 takes a LOT of getting used to. You get good at it, but it's still no analog stick. I think with an analog stick, the DS would be a flawless system. I still can't perform side flips. (Running one direction, move stick in opposite direction and jump). I have never executed one on the screen. You can also play the game using the DPad, but it's EXTREMELY awkward for me.

Feel the Magic uses ONLY the stylus and microphone in a bunch of Wario Ware-style minigames. Control isn't even an issue on that game. It's a blast.

Perhaps we should close one DS thread and make it one?

I heard of many people who like the stylus controls, also in Mario. Most people say you just need to get accustomed to it first and then it's very easy.
I really need to try it for myself quickly. :P

yah but the thing is if u use the stylus u must have one hand on it and then with you're other hand u must hit b to jump which in my opinion is akward but i mean evry has the way theylike to play so i can like argue about it

You don't use the stylus. You use the thumb cap. Works great.

if you mean the little nub on the strap... that thing sucks, it comes loose too easily and slides off my thumb and stopping to readjust it detracts from the feel, I like to get immersed in a game, and the DS doesn't allow me to do that.

The DS sells like hotcakes in Japan and now Nintendo announced new color variations on their homepage. You might already have heard about it.

http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ds/hardware/index.html#ds_color

The new colors are

White

Black

Pink

Cyan

And the good old silver one

Which do you like best?
What color would you like to have?

I got one last week for my birthday.
It's a nice console/handheld but not many games for it yet. *crosses fingers*
I think one game came out called robots..
But i like the touch screen. Its so cool and easy to use. I am almost finished Super mario 64 ds and i must say its been a blast and im looking forward to a new game release soon. I just want to know where zelda is!

Well, just got back from Champaigne... got me a DS! So far, it seems kind of weird to use the stylus. I'm trying to feel it how to see how I like it. I bought Mario 64 also, so that's the game I tried it out on. I was a little disappointed to find out that the Metroid game that came with it is only a demo. :( We'll see how it turns out. So far, it's really cool, and has awesome sound.
