This weekend I got:

VGA cable for XBOX360 $9
Fiber Optic Cable FREE :)
360 ethernet cable $2

Couldn't really find any good deals when I went to Sioux Falls. Probably because I am really only looking for 360 stuff.

"Lived" being the key word. I moved back to Spencer, Iowa last August/September. Hopefully we will move back up to Sioux Falls within the next couple years, I loved it up there.

Didn't you want to wait for the price drop to 499? Or did you get the 80GB version? (Is that already out?)
Anyways, have fun with it. Got any games with it? What games are you planning to buy for it?

$499 = $549.99 in Canada. 6% tax = $583. I didn't get any games. I'll pick up Motorstorm when I find it cheap enough, until then it's nothing until Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Heavenly Sword, Killzone 2, Little Big Planet, among others. I had $500 in credit for it so I really only shelled out an extra $83 on top.

Also, if you got one now, you'd have a model with superior PS game playback as I seem to recall reading somewhere that when the price drops, they'll be using the models like the ones in europe that use emulation software instead. Unless they released the same model here than they did in canada.....
anyway, good purchase for $83

PS3 for me too, $554 after tax. (tax rate is much higher here, than where Nesmaster lives.)

PS3 fever on the Nes Files.
Did you get any game with it? Or did you just buy it before it goes up in price again?

I must admit I also carry around the thought of buying a PS3. Of course a Japanese one, because those are the cheapest. The region free thing is a very very compelling argument.

No game yet, but I am considering MotorStorm. I checked out the demo for Resistance, and it just doesn't sit well with me.

Though I might make a point of finishing God of War II before I pick up anything else.

But it's not just a matter of the price going back up, it the PS2 CPU being removed and software emulation being put in place. Backward compatibility is a big selling point for me.

Ah, backwards compatibility. That's one point, too. Not so much for me at the moment. I have a PS2, which I hope won't die on me anytime soon.
I hope to get a PS3 as soon as it's 40000 Yen or under.
Then I'd use it as a Bluray player, too if there are any movies that deserve to be bought in HD.

I just bought an XBox (complete with box and all hookups) with 6 games, 2nd controller and the DVD kit for 72 Euros shipped.
Maybe I can sell 4 of the games (as I don't like them) and make the console itsself a better deal.
Although it's already a good deal, seeing that used XBoxes usually go for 70 Euros without games here in Germany.

You should get the Xbox modded.
